INDIVIDUAL PSYCHOTHERAPY

Anthony’s primary approach to counseling is Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT). CBT is an effective psychotherapeutic approach that combines elements of behavior therapy and cognitive therapy.  CBT is one common and evidence-based form of talk-therapy aimed at resolving problems concerning dysfunctional emotions, thoughts, and behaviors.  More specifically, CBT is effective for the treatment of a variety of problems, including depression, grief and loss issues, anxiety, phobias, and substance abuse.

This approach is goal-oriented, and systematic.  Anthony uses CBT to help people understand the role that their beliefs and current perspectives play on their decision making.  With the help of insight, objectivity and education, people find it easier to adjust and manage their feelings and behavior regarding a given issue they may be dealing with.

Additionally, Anthony can work with your health care provider to determine any additional services, such as medications, that may benefit your care.
